2018, I was 28 years old. A lot happened that year.
Some may already recognize the number. That’s the age we all go through what is called a “Saturn Return”, a point in our life where some of the hardest lessons about maturity, honesty, and work all collide. My job was gone, I was alone, and the world seemed to be spiraling into chaos. Let’s just say life felt like it was over.
Years earlier I had studied Astrology with Anna under a very knowledgeable teacher, but when my teacher had predicted this point in my life I turned away thinking that I didn’t want any outside influence on such big life changes.
What is incredible about Astrology though is that this space is where Math, Psychology, Sociology, and Cosmological Science all intersect. I had obtained a skill that I chose to ignore over fear of the change I could foresee happening in the future.
That’s life though, a series of events that exemplify the light and shadow within ourselves. Only our choices can change the expression of that light and shadow, and the planets all help us to understand how these events motivate us to make those choices.
Creating Expedition Astrology, returning to who I was, and accepting parts of me that I chose to ignore lead me to becoming even more skilled in the magic that aligning to the stars can bring. I bring a touch of Math, Psychology, and everyday experience into my practice because at the end of the day with or without the stars, we all still need to find a little balance.
